Vishwambhara, the most expensive film in Chiranjeevi’s career, is still waiting for a release date. But its director Vassishta is already out giving back-to-back interviews. This sudden media push has become a hot topic among fans, especially because Anil Ravipudi’s aggressive promotions for Chiru 157 are stealing the buzz. Inside talk is that Vishwambhara’s team noticed the impact and sent Vassishta out to balance the heat. No doubt, this move must have come with Chiranjeevi’s full approval.

Meanwhile, UV Creations is reportedly locking in the release date. They are planning to announce an October third week release for Vishwambhara on August 22, which happens to be Chiranjeevi’s birthday. If that’s true, then Chiru 157 may have to step out of the Sankranti race. But convincing Anil Ravipudi won’t be that easy. He is known for his strong stand. He proved his stamina with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam.

Now again, Anil has his eyes on Sankranti. If he refuses to move, Chiranjeevi fans may witness something very rare — two of his films releasing within just two months. That last happened in the 80s. Since 1991, Chiranjeevi has never had more than two or three releases a year, let alone within weeks. In today’s box office scenario, this is a major risk. Even big names like Pawan Kalyan attempted this with Hari Hara Veera Mallu and OG, but their planning was different.

If Anil finally agrees to step back, Chiru 157 might shift to next summer. Otherwise, if he holds his ground and convinces Chiru, then get ready for Vishwambhara in October and Chiru 157 in January. Let’s see who wins this behind-the-scenes battle.
