Coolie is one of the important films for this Independence Day. The film is clashing with Hindi film War 2. However, the movie has to score well in Hindi belt to get back the huge investment that is at stake. To bring the maximum attention to the film in North, the makers are planning a pre-release event in Mumbai.
The team has step up their game to get visibility for the project. With a huge star cast playing the leads, the makers must organize an event to bag the craze. With Aamir Khan playing a key cameo in the film and with Anirudh Ravichander helming the music, the makers must make use of both during the promotions.
Already, Anirudh’s music for Jawan brought in a lot of appreciation and the team is arranging a live performance of Anirudh at the pre-release event, with the attendance of a limited crowd. Although the audio album of Coolie is a bit slow, the song Monica will definitely boost the film’s craze, just like it did in Telugu.
The team wrapped up an event in Chennai and one more in Hyderabad. The Mumbai event will be crucial in terms of taking the hype surrounding the film to next level. The key cast and crew is expected to grace the special event.
Moreover, multiplexes in the North are reportedly unwilling to cooperate, as most of the screens are being locked for War 2. However, Aamir Khan has reportedly begun negotiations with Inox and PVR officials to secure a proper Hindi release for Coolie in IMAX chains as well. If the talks conclude positively, Coolie could enjoy a release on par with War 2, without any hurdles.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Superstar Rajinikanth plays the lead role in Coolie. The film hits the screens on 14th of August.
