In the past, whenever a film he composed music for geared up for release, star music director Anirudh Ravichander used to take to X a few days before the film’s release and give his ’emoji review’ loaded with fire and cup (trophy) emojis. However, Anirudh has stopped his emoji reviews of late.

However, with Anirudh not giving any emoji review for his idol Superstar Rajinikanth’s soon-to-release gangster drama, Coolie, fans were apprehensive about the film’s box office result. Many started to believe that Anirudh is not confident about Coolie’s success.

But Anirudh has ended all the speculations with one statement. At the Spotify event to mark Coolie’s Hindi version’s audio album in Mumbai last night, Anirudh gave a live emoji review for Coolie. “10 Cups and 10 Fires” for Coolie,” said Anirudh, leaving all Rajini fans thrilled. Ani’s live review for Coolie is going viral on social media. He also added that he quite liked Coolie and hoped that a sequel will be made in the future.

In a recent interview, Anirudh revealed that he has stopped sharing the emoji reviews because he knew certain films weren’t going to do well at the box office, so it’d be wrong to hype them with his reviews, which also adds extra pressure on him.

“Now that fans have started expecting my reviews, if I didn’t post, fans would come to the conclusion that the film is going to be bad. I liked some films, but I didn’t feel like reviewing them, but it backfired. So I stopped giving emoji reviews. But I thoroughly enjoyed Coolie. I’m saying this live – fans can keep as many fire and cups as they want for Coolie,” said the Rockstar.
