Manam remains a special film for the Akkineni family as all three generations of actors from the family shared screen space in it. Meanwhile, Nagarjuna recently revealed the final desire of ANR that he fulfilled while working on Manam.
Recently, Nagarjuna participated in the inaugural episode of Jagapathi Babu’s new talk show, “Jayammu Nischayammura With Jagapathi”. During the conversation, Nagarjuna revealed that during his final days, ANR warned him not to dub his voice with anyone else and insisted on dubbing his own voice. Eventually, he finished dubbing his voice right at his home, from his bed.
“Manam always remains a special film for us. Our entire family was seen in a single frame in that film. We realised that it was going to be Dad’s final film as he was diagnosed with cancer at that time. I never had any pressure in my life. But I had sleepless nights thinking about Manam while working for it. Dad warned me that he wouldn’t let anyone dub his voice. Eventually, he dubbed it himself from the ICU bed, which was arranged at our home. After watching it, he liked the film and appreciated it,” said Nagarjuna.
On the work front, Nagarjuna was recently seen as the antagonist in the film Coolie. Directed by Lokesh Kangaraj, this action thriller featured Rajinikanth in the lead role.
