Over the years, SS Rajamouli has raised the bar with every project, from Baahubali to RRR, cementing his place as one of the most recognized Indian filmmakers globally. Naturally, his upcoming collaboration with Superstar Mahesh Babu is carrying sky-high anticipation.
Interestingly, unlike his previous films, Rajamouli has kept this project completely under wraps. There have been no official announcements, no press meets, not even a formal launch update. Even on August 9, Mahesh Babu’s birthday, fans were expecting a first look or title reveal, but nothing came out. On Mahesh’s birthday, Rajamouli announced that the film’s first glimpse would arrive in November 2025.
Now, reports suggest that the November reveal has a massive reason behind it. Hollywood legend James Cameron, who is currently gearing up for the release of Avatar: The Fire and Ash on December 19, is expected to be in India around that time for promotions. Buzz is that Cameron will unveil the title and first look glimpse of ‘#Globetrotter’ during his visit.
This collaboration has added weight because Cameron has earlier spoken highly of Rajamouli. At an awards event in Los Angeles, Cameron praised RRR and even told Rajamouli, “If you ever want to make a movie over here, let’s talk.” That exchange went viral, highlighting the mutual respect between the two filmmakers.
If Cameron indeed launches the first look, it would instantly put the project in the global spotlight. For Rajamouli, who has consistently pushed Indian cinema to international platforms, the move fits his vision. For Mahesh Babu, it will mark a rare introduction for an Indian star, having his film’s first look tied to one of the biggest names in world cinema.
If all goes according to plan, November could mark the first big international wave of attention on Rajamouli’s next venture.
