The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2025 began in grand style at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City. With lights, glamour, and star power, the event celebrated the best of South Indian cinema.
The opening night focused on Telugu films and brought together actors, filmmakers, and fans for a night full of pride and joy. The biggest winner of the night was Kalki 2898 AD, a magnum opus starring Prabhas. It won four major awards, thanks to its unique story and stunning visuals.
Kalki 2898 AD won the Best Film award. Amitabh Bachchan received the Best Supporting Actor award, while Annaben was named Best Supporting Actress. Kamal Haasan stood out with his intense role and received the Best Villain award.
The night also celebrated the outstanding talents of Allu Arjun, crowned Best Actor for Pushpa 2, and Sukumar, who bagged Best Director for the blockbuster. Critics’ favorites shone as well, with Teja Sajja taking home Best Actor (Critics) for HanuMan and Prasanth Varma winning Best Director (Critics) for the same film.
SIIMA 2025 proved once again how South Indian films continue to shine on a global stage, bringing people together to celebrate great storytelling.
