Sankranthi is a big season at the box office for Telugu movie lovers. For the upcoming Sankranthi season, the slots are being filled up already. We can expect a great competition at the box office for Sankranthi, and may also witness some major shuffles.

Officially Confirmed for Sankranthi 2026:Megastar Chiranjeevi’s next film, Mana Siva Sankara Vara Prasad garu, directed by Anil Ravipudi, is a sure-shot arriving film for Sankranthi. The team is highly confident of the same and would not want to delay the project any further.

Prabhas’ Raja Saab, which was supposed to hit the screens this December, is also hitting the screens during Sankranthi 2026 on Jan 9. Maruthi is the film’s director, and the team is occupied with the post-production works.

The third project, which is confirmed for next year’s Sankranthi, is Anaganaga Oka Raju, starring Naveen Polishetty and Meenakshi Chaudhary. The film also got delayed earlier, but is on track now.

Probable New Entries:Ravi Teja’s 76th film, in the direction of Kishore Tirumala, is also reportedly scheduled for a grand release for Sankranthi. The shoot is inching towards completion, and the official confirmation on the film’s release is yet to come out.

Sharwanand’s Nari Nari Naduma Murari is also one of the probable films for Sankranthi 2026.

Keeping all this aside, two major tamil films are releasing on the screens.

Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan is scheduled for a release during Sankranthi. Siva Karthikeyan’s Parashakthi is also slated for a Pongal release. Since Jana Nayagan is Vijay’s last film, there will be a lot of expectations and hype for Vijay’s project even in the Telugu states.

Already in Telugu, with Chiranjeevi and Prabhas arriving in theatres, there will be a huge demand for theatres. With Vijay also coming with his final film, there will be a scarcity of theatres. In between all this, Naveen Polishetty, Sharwanand, and Ravi Teja also want to entertain the audience.

But practically, it is not possible to witness all the films at the box office, and there could be some shuffles in the lineup. Otherwise, the situation will not benefit anyone, resulting in losses.
