Pawan Kalyan’s OG is gearing up for a grand release on September 25th. The film is directed by Sujeeth and bankrolled by DVV Entertainments banner. The team is yet to begin the film’s promotions and most likely, Pawan Kalyan will make himself available only for the pre-release event in the Telugu states.
As he is busy with administrative works and the upcoming assembly sessions starting from the 18th of this month, his involvement in other promotional activities is expected to be limited. However, the film needs to be promoted aggressively in other languages too.
With a huge cast and actors from other languages being a part of the movie, the makers of OG must launch huge promotional campaigns in Tamilnadu as well as the North circuit. Sujeeth’s last film Saaho did well in North India and his name is registered to the audiences there. So, he must take part in the promotional campaigns.
Additionally, Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi is playing the villain in the movie. So, he also must be a part of some interviews and only he can pull the crowd to theatres. His character Omi and the teaser that showcased his style was received well by the audiences and Emran’s fans, in particular. So, he must lead the Hindi promotions.
Down South, the Tamil version also needs a push. The film’s heroine Priyanka Arul Mohan, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy and others must push the film forward in Chennai. Thaman is also a known name for the Tamil audiences and he can also contribute in bringing a buzz to the Tamil version. Moreover, with no proper releases in Tamil this month end, OG can fare well if promoted grandly.
The film is hitting the screens on October 25th.
