Actor and director Dhanush is back with his upcoming film ‘Idli Kadai’, which tells the story of a man running a small idly shop. Film is said to be a simple and emotional tory Scheduled for release on October 01.

At the trailer launch in Coimbatore, Dhanush revealed that he has always wanted to become a chef. “I don’t know why I keep getting chef roles. I wanted to cook. Maybe that’s why I keep getting films like this,” he said. In his past films, he has been seen cooking or running food shops, like making parottas in ‘Jagame Thandiram’, working as a delivery boy in ‘Thiruchitrambalam’, and running a fast food shop in ‘Raayan’.

Dhanush also talked about manifestation and how it has influenced his life and career. “When I write a script for myself, I get a chef role, and even when other directors approach me, I get similar roles. I think that is due to manifestation,” he said. He explained, “What you think, you become. This power has stayed with me even after I became an actor. Youth should visualize their goals, believe they can achieve them, and work hard.”
