Adipurush is one of the projects where the epic Ramayana was told with grand technicalities and a big cast. Prabhas played the lead role in the film, as Lord Sriram. Om Raut is the director of the movie. However, the film flopped big time at the box office. From the morning show itself, the film opened to a negative response, inviting trolls and criticism towards Om Raut.
The director was trolled badly for executing the film poorly, hurting the sentiments of many, and not handling a pan-India star like Prabhas properly. Even when the film was released later on OTT, the trolling against Om Raut only got intense. After a long time, Om Raut opened up on the phase when he faced this trolling.
In a recent interview with a Bollywood news portal, Om Raut shared his reactions. “I don’t think, to be honest, I can have any advice. It is an extremely tough place to be in. You don’t do anything wrong intentionally. Mistakes happen. As I have always said, success teaches you a lot, but failure teaches you even more. So, the only way you can come out of it is to learn from those mistakes and make sure and pray that they don’t happen again. That’s the only ray of hope you can have,” he shared.
Om Raut also said, “It emotionally breaks you, and more than you, it breaks your family, your team members, everybody around you. Yes, there is a loss of confidence, and you will have to work on it. The only way you can answer these things is by doing good work. I am not sure how I survived. Maybe it was because of the support I had from my family, friends, and my close team members who are still here.”
Om Raut recently produced Inspector Zende, which became a big success. He is next directing Dhanush in Kalam: The Missile Man of India.
