Nagarjuna Akkineni is on the verge of completing 40 years as an actor in the Indian film industry. As an actor, studio owner, producer and a family man, Nagarjuna is enjoying the best phase of his career now.
With films like Coolie and Kubera, Nagarjuna is also stepping out of his comfort zone and experimenting with different roles to satisfy the actor in himself. He recently interacted with a leading English daily, explaining how his perception of the number game changed over the decades.
Nagarjuna reflected on his journey as an actor and is highly satisfied with the way it unfolded. At the same time, he also expressed happiness over whatever is coming his way at this point in time. However, he also acknowledged the struggle he underwent back in the day to be on top and get all the numbers for his movies, which is a stressful situation.
“That pressure has vanished slowly now, and the numbers also change every month. The number game has become a mess today. So, I’m just living in the moment. I’m happy when I’m doing exactly what I want to do. If I can’t do that at this point, even after 40 years, then what’s the point?” stated Nagarjuna.
Nagarjuna is undoubtedly one of the senior star heroes of this generation who is rocking both on Television with Bigg Boss as well as celluloid with mainstream films. He is one of the few actors who introduced a lot of young directors to the film industry.
Right now, he is working on his milestone 100th film, directed by Tamil director Karthik.
