Bollywood movies were once famous for liplocks and overly romantic scenes. However, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has been acting tough of late and had earlier deleted kissing scenes in superhit movies such as Saiyaara and the Hindi versions of F1 and Superman.

Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s soon-to-release romantic comedy, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, is the latest Bollywood film to have undergone the CBFC axe. As per the reports, at least 60 percent of a steamy liplock scene featuring Varun and Janhvi has been trimmed following the CBFC diktat.

Along with the kissing scene, the CBFC has also instructed the Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari makers to mute the “guard” dialogue uttered by Varun Dhawan in the movie. Following the modifications, the CBFC has granted a UA certificate.

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar. The film also has Sanya Malhotra in a key role. The film is set to release on October 2 and will be in a clash with Kannada star Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1. Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is estimated to collect around Rs 10 to Rs 12.50 crore on its opening day.
