Telangana leader Malla Reddy, known for his outspoken speeches and viral public moments, recently opened up about an unexpected film offer he turned down. While many know him for his political work, he has also caught the attention of pop culture fans.
In a recent interview during Dussehra celebrations with his family, Malla Reddy spoke about offers to act in films. He revealed that director Harish Shankar had approached him to play the antagonist in Ustaad Bhagat Singh, the Telugu remake of the Tamil film Theri. The director reportedly offered him a remuneration of 3 Crores, but Reddy chose to decline.
Explaining his decision, he said, “What does a villain do in films? He scolds the hero until the interval, and in the second half, the hero starts scolding and beating the villain. That’s why I rejected the role.”
Ustaad Bhagat Singh has evolved from its initial remake concept into an original script and is now in the final stages of shooting. Pawan Kalyan has already completed his portions. The film also stars Sreeleela and Rashi Khanna. It is produced by Mythri Movie Makers with music by Devi Sri Prasad.
