Ram Charan Meets PM Modi After Archery Premier League Success – FilmShlim

India recently saw the launch of its first-ever Archery Premier League (APL). Its aim is to promote archery and give Indian players a platform to compete internationally. Six teams took part, with a total of 48 archers, 36 from India and 12 from other countries. The event also highlights India’s traditional sports and cultural heritage.

Recently, Ram Charan attended the APL launch in New Delhi. He is the brand ambassador of the league and spoke about archery’s importance in Indian history and culture. Charan also shared a personal connection, recalling his role as an archer in the film RRR.

On Saturday, Ram Charan met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Sharing a post on Instagram, he expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the Prime Minister’s support for sports. Charan wrote:

“Honoured to meet our Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji on the success of the world’s first Archery Premier League, led by Anil Kamineni Garu. PM ji’s guidance and passion for sports will help us preserve and promote the legacy of archery worldwide. Congratulations to all the athletes. We hope many more will join this incredible sport for better mental and physical health.”

The meeting underlines the growing focus on sports development in India. The APL continues to give visibility to archery and encourages more people to take up the sport. The league is expected to inspire young athletes and expand India’s presence in international archery competitions.

On professional front, Ram Charan is currently shooting a song for Peddi in Pune. The film is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and is scheduled to release on March 27, 2026. After completing Peddi, Ram Charan will begin work on his next project with director Sukumar.
