Prabhas has been trying new genres with each film, regardless of the results. He has built a reputation for starring in large-scale pan-India films across different genres. His next film, The Raja Saab, is gearing up for release during coming sankranthi.
Hanu Raghavapudi, who delivered the love story Sita Ram in 2022, is now working on a historical fiction set in the 1940s during the pre-Independence era. The film will mark the debut of Imanvi as the lead actress. Veteran actors Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, and Jaya Prada are in key roles. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, with music composed by Vishal Chandrashekhar.
The film, reportedly titled Fauji, has already completed about 60% of the shoot. Prabhas, who is working on this simultaneously with The Raja Saab, has finished most of his portions, with around 35 days left for his scenes. If everything goes according to plan, makers are aiming for an Independence Week 2026 release on Friday, August 14.
Reports suggest Prabhas is impressed with Hanu Raghavapudi’s work, and the two are likely to collaborate on another project. This unannounced film may be produced by Hombale Films.
Earlier, Hombale had announced a three-film deal with Prabhas, starting with Salaar 2. The second film is reportedly with Prasanth Varma, and the third could be Hanu’s project.
On the professional front, after wrapping up The Raja Saab and Fauji, Prabhas will begin shooting Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. He will then work with Prasanth Varma again, followed by sequels to Salaar and Kalki.
