Delays are quite common in the film industry, and sometimes, they are an inevitable part of the filmmaking process. However, these delays are resulting in growing frustration among the audiences on social media, of late. A few decades ago, movie prints often reached theatres late due to transport and processing delays. With satellite technology, such issues were mostly solved, but the KDM delays used to worry the fans.

Cut to the present, the delays in the launching of trailers, teasers, songs, and other promotional material before a film’s release is irking the audiences big time. Recently, a trailer shown at a media launch event wasn’t uploaded to YouTube for hours, leaving fans confused and restless.

In the recent past, the release of Meesala Pilla song from Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu was postponed after initially being scheduled for October 13.

Pawan Kalyan’s OG trailer faced over ten hours of delay, and stars like Prabhas, Mahesh Babu, Jr. NTR, and Allu Arjun have faced similar issues before.

Fans hope filmmakers respect announced timings and avoid such repeated disappointments. However, the filmmakers do not realize that these delays on social media pre-release will also have a negative impact after the release. It is clearly evident on social media, and the audience also develops a pre-conceived notion regarding these delays.

The only solution in the process is that either makers should release content at the announced time or they should not announce a time before preparing 100 % of work. It’s high time makers should maintain timing in content so that the unnecessary delays will not spoil the product altogether.
