K-Ramp is slowly turning into a surprise performer at the box office by evening. Despite receiving poor reviews from critics, the film has picked up well in Andhra Pradesh, especially in B and C centres.
Reports say that in several towns, night shows are running with strong occupancy, and in some areas, extra shows have even been added due to good demand. A few theatres are even displaying “House Full” boards, showing that the movie is connecting well with the mass audience.
The credit goes to Kiran Abbavaram’s growing popularity among the rural and small-town crowd. His energetic screen presence and the film’s catchy, mass-friendly title K-Ramp are working in its favor.
While the multiplex audience might not be showing much interest, the film’s local flavor and commercial elements are clearly striking a chord with mass moviegoers. It remains to be seen if K-Ramp can maintain this momentum throughout the festival season.
