The sequel to Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 2021 hit Akhanda is on the way. Called Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, the film will release across India on December 5 in multiple languages. This will be Balakrishna’s first film to release nationwide. The first Akhanda became popular in many languages after its digital release.
So far, the makers have been slow with promotions. On Monday, during a Diwali announcement, they revealed that the second teaser, called BLASTING ROAR, will come out on Friday, October 24. This teaser is not a song but a short glimpse from the movie.
In the first film, Balakrishna played twin brothers Akhanda and Murali Krishna. The first half mostly showed Murali Krishna, a farmer, with action scenes against Srikanth, the villain.
The new teaser will focus on Murali Krishna’s character. The first teaser, released in June, highlighted Akhanda and went viral for its trishul action scene. The second teaser is expected to be just as exciting and includes a powerful dialogue, showing the signature style of Balakrishna and director Boyapati Sreenu.
Akhanda 2: Thaandavam stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Samyukta Menon, and Aadi Pinisetty. It is written and directed by Boyapati Sreenu, produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta under 14 Reels Plus, and presented by M. Tejaswini Nandamuri. Music is by Thaman S.
