The life of people’s leader and former Yellandu MLA Gummadi Narsaiah is coming to the big screen with a biopic titled Gummadi Narsaiah. A respected figure in grassroots politics, Narsaiah won multiple terms as an Independent MLA between 1983–1994 and again from 1999–2009. Known for his simplicity, integrity, and dedication to the common man, he earned a special place in the hearts of the people.
Kannada star Dr Shiva Rajkumar takes on the role of Gummadi Narsaiah in this Pan-India project. The film marks the directorial debut of Parameshwar Hivrale, who turns director after his journey as an actor. The movie is produced by N. Suresh Reddy (NSR) under the Pravallika Arts Creations banner, making it the production house’s first venture.
The first look poster shows Dr Shiva Rajkumar in a simple white kurta-pajama with a red scarf, walking with a bicycle on an open road with the Assembly building in the background. A red flag with the hammer and sickle symbol is tied to the bicycle, reflecting the leader’s leftist ideology. Shiva Rajkumar carries the role with quiet strength and humility. The concept video further strengthens the emotional tone, showing him entering the Assembly on a bicycle with books tied at the back, emphasizing the leader’s grounded nature and intellectual depth.
The film features strong technical support, with Satish Mutyala handling cinematography, Suresh Bobbili composing the music, and Satya Giduturi taking care of editing. The production design aims to recreate the time and atmosphere of Narsaiah’s political journey with authenticity.
Shoot for this Pan-India film will begin soon, and it will release in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. The story goes beyond politics, capturing a man who lived for the people and stayed rooted in his values.
