Filmmakers today often look for bold ways to grab attention before their films release. Instead of letting their work speak for itself, many try to create content moments that spark discussion. Very few succeed, while others don’t.

The team behind Biker has now joined that list. With only a month left for release, the makers dropped a sudden glimpse of the film and announced December 6 as the release date. Until now, only the first-look poster had been revealed.

Biker is described as a motorsport drama shot across several locations, including abroad. The film features Sharwanand and Malvika Nair in the lead roles, with veteran actor Rajasekhar playing an important character. The team launched the glimpse at an event held on Saturday, attended by the cast and crew.

At the event, director Abhilash Reddy Kankara, known for the web series Loser, made an interesting remark. He said, “Team Biker guarantees it will excite you at least 1% more than the recent racing films you’ve seen.”

The statement quickly became a topic online. Many felt he was hinting at F1, the Hollywood sports drama starring Brad Pitt, which was released earlier this year. The film, centered on Formula One racing, created a global buzz and performed strongly in India as well, earning over Rs 100 crore during its theatrical run.

Although the Biker director never mentioned F1 by name, the comparison became a talking point. Many pointed out that drawing parallels between a Telugu film made on a modest budget and a Hollywood production with massive resources is a daring move.

The glimpse of Biker has received a positive response for its visuals, technical quality and Sharwanand’s transformation. Whether the director’s statement was meant as a direct challenge or just a confident tease remains to be seen. The real test will come when audiences see if Biker can deliver the thrill it promises on December 6.
