Ten years after an historic chapter was created in Indian cinema, the ambitious world of Baahubali still seem to have got so much to offer for moviegoers across the globe. After bringing ‘The Epic’, which combines both chapters of the iconic drama, the makers of Baahubali franchise have now come up with another addition to their cinematic universe through ‘Baahubali: The Eternal War’.
On Tuesday, the first teaser of part 1 was unveiled by SS Rajamouli and it showcases the return of Amarendra Baahubali in a larger-than-life animated role with an action-packed glimpse. Directed by Ishan Shukla, who is known for handling animated TV series like Star Wars : Visions, Schrikoa and Kalki, the Eternal War promises to continue the legacy of Amarendra Baahubali through animated series.
The two minute teaser starts off with the voiceover of Shivagami( Ramya Krishna) who announces that the death of Baahubali gives rise to another historic beginning as he finds himself at the centre of an epic war between devas and asuras. This leads the viewers into a thrilling confrontation between Vishasura and Indra before Amarendra Baahubali makes a swashbuckling entry on a chariot to take on the divine forces.
The teaser is visually stunning and gives an adrenaline rush due to the brilliant technical values. However, the story seems to be forced into the Baahubali universe to capitalise on the franchise’s popularity by tapping on the growing market for animated movies.
Recently, Kannada animation film Mahavatar Narasimha turned out to be a runaway hit at the box office. So, the animated version of Baahubali will have a chance to shatter records if it manages to take moviegoers on a thrilling ride with its visuals and storytelling. The first part of Eternal War releases in 2027.
