Ram Pothineni, who is going through a series of flops, is making a comeback with his new film, Andhra King Taluka. Directed by Mahesh Babu P of Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty fame, this movie is slated for release on November 28. There are just two weeks left for the release, but Ram is yet to take the film to the public aggressively.
Ram has started promoting the film, but he needs to change gears. What he has been doing is giving interviews, just like everyone else, and following the usual template promotional strategy of the industry. However, that is not enough in this social media era. Ram should do something unique to grab the audience’s attention and draw them to theatres.
Andhra King Taluka has an interesting premise that showcases the story of an actor and his die-hard fan. Some unique promotions can be planned using real-life fans and fan war situation kind of video content to promote the film. That would also grab people’s attention. Even though the story is relatable, fans are worried that Ram is not promoting it in the right way.
Ram failed to promote his recent movies well, except for doing routine interviews and one pre release event, which was also one of the reasons they did not perform at the box office. This time, he has an interesting storyline that offers good scope for unique promotions. So, it is high time for him to use that advantage and start promoting the film differently, at least from now on.
In this social media era, everyone has become more advanced and is not showing much interest in stepping into theatres, especially after knowing that the film will land on OTT platforms just four weeks after its release. So, the makers need to promote the film in innovative ways to bring audiences to theatres. Hopefully, Ram realizes this fact and shifts gears to promote Andhra King Thaluka more effectively.
