iBomma admin Immadhi Ravi’s arrest has been a trending topic in the Telugu states for the last couple of days. Meanwhile, shocking revelations are coming out about Ravi’s life ever since he was arrested by the police. Now, it is learnt that severe bullying and emotional abuse have turned Ravi into a criminal of the kind that he is now.

According to the reports, Ravi had an inter-religion marriage back in 2016. Reportedly, he was constantly mocked and humiliated by his wife and in-laws for his low income. Until then, Ravi used to work honestly and earn whatever little he used to earn through domain services, server management, and website development. However, this constant humiliation affected his self-worth and made him go for divorce.

Later, in order to earn quick money, Ravi resorted to movie piracy and took multiple big steps in the process. He went so deep into the web of crime that he eventually decided to revoke his Indian passport and applied for the citizenship of St. Kitts and Nevis. In this way, his wife and inlaws pushed Ravi into an extreme dark path.

Not only Ravi, but the story of Ashwani Kumar, a college dropout who was earlier arrested for hacking unreleased movies through digital cinema distribution networks like QUBE and UFO, also had a similar story. He was also constantly bullied by his peers for his physical appearance and a squint eye. Due to constant bullying, he stopped going to school and learnt hacking from YouTube tutorials. He learnt it so well and eventually used all that knowledge to breach the digital distribution network servers and started pirating movies.

Coming back to Ravi, he was arrested in a dramatic way when he arrived in India a few days ago to liquidate his assets. The police found Rs. 20 crores deposited in two bank accounts of Ravi and were able to seize Rs. 3.5 crore at the time of arrest. The accounts have been frozen, and notices have been issued to banks based on Ravi’s credit cards, debit cards, and chequebooks seized from his apartment at the time of his arrest.
