After his significant electoral win from the Undi Assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh, Assembly Deputy Speaker Raghu Rama Krishna Raju (RRR) has been actively taking up several public-centric programs.
As part of this, RRR recently addressed a long-pending drainage clearance project that had concerned the people of the Undi constituency for years.
Specifically, the Rudrayya Kodu drainage bridge near Akiveedu had been overgrown with vegetation for many years. Despite repeated pleas and appeals to the previous Jagan-led government, no action was taken on this matter.
However, newly elected local MLA RRR acted swiftly by prioritizing the canal forest clearance. So far, around 2 kilometers of overgrowth near the bridge has already been cleared, with 14 kilometers still to go. RRR assured that the entire project will be completed within three months.
In addition to this, there are two more major drainage clearance projects pending, and RRR has vowed to complete both within the next year.
“After years of gross negligence under the previous Jagan government, these projects are finally being taken seriously under RRR’s local leadership,” a resident commented.
