It has been barely a year since the YSR Congress Party was relegated from power to just another political outfit without even opposition status. But that hasn’t stopped YS Jagan from making bold claims about returning as Chief Minister.

In his explosive press meet yesterday afternoon, Jagan once again repeated his usual claim about becoming the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

“This government will last barely three years. After that, I will become the Chief Minister again, and YCP will return to power. When that happens, Chandrababu and his men will be made to pay for their actions. They will face the consequences with added interest,” he declared.

Jagan issued a warning to Chandrababu, saying he might not be able to control his own party members after returning to power. “Chandrababu must keep in mind that a situation might arise where my men won’t even listen to me. He will face serious trouble then. This is my serious warning to him,” he stated.

One of the key reasons behind YCP’s historic defeat in the 2024 elections is believed to be Jagan’s aggressive approach. But it appears the party hasn’t learned any lessons, as he continues to issue threats and warnings regularly.

Instead of staying close to the people and understanding the ground reality, Jagan prefers to stay in Bengaluru, visiting Andhra Pradesh just once a week, mostly to issue warnings to Chandrababu.

Meanwhile, Chandrababu is gaining a strong edge by regularly stepping out and interacting with the public, especially during the pension programs held every month.

It is now an open secret that Chandrababu is more in touch with the public pulse than Jagan. While Jagan is focused on fiery press meets, Chandrababu is quietly getting things done with calm and consistency.
