It is already known that YSR Congress MP Midhun Reddy has been arrested in connection with the Andhra Pradesh liquor scam that took place during the YS Jagan regime. He is currently being held at the Rajahmundry Central Jail.
Coming to the latest development, the designated gunman who was assigned to Preddireddy Ramachandra Reddy has reportedly been suspended following a preliminary investigation conducted by Chittoor SP Manikanta. The suspension was primarily related to the special amenities that Midhun Reddy is allegedly receiving inside the jail.
According to the latest reports, gunman Kalesha, who was officially assigned to Ramachandra Reddy, has been suspended by the Chittoor SP for stepping beyond his line of duty and personally attending to the arrested Midhun Reddy.
Incidentally, Kalesha’s suspension followed the circulation of a video in which he was seen carrying towels, bags, and other items for Midhun Reddy. The video sparked widespread outrage, with many questioning why a gunman tasked with securing Ramachandra Reddy was being used for Midhun Reddy’s personal needs.
As per protocol, a government-assigned gunman is not permitted to carry out personal chores for any VIP. However, this rule was clearly violated by Kalesha. Based on video evidence and initial findings, the Chittoor SP conducted a primary inquiry and immediately suspended the gunman from his duty.
Ironically, the special privileges that Midhun Reddy appears to be enjoying inside jail have now ended up costing the gunman his job, as pointed out by a social media user.
