In what could be considered a historic achievement in Telugu state politics, the Telugu Desam Party has finally captured the fort of Pulivendula in the ongoing ZPTC elections.
For the first time in the last 30 years, the Telugu Desam Party has managed to win the Pulivendula ZPTC seat. The result was officially confirmed today after the counting of votes for the ZPTC elections held on Tuesday.
The Telugu Desam Party secured a comprehensive victory in Pulivendula, winning by a margin of 6,052 votes. This is one of the most significant electoral wins for the party in recent years, as leading in the YS family bastion of Pulivendula is a rare feat.
In total, TDP candidate Latha Reddy polled 6,375 votes, while YSR Congress managed just 683 votes. This is a humiliating result for the YSR Congress, as they could not even secure 10 percent of the total ZPTC votes.
