The capital city of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati is going to undergo a significant connectivity project in the form of the upcoming Iconic Bridge and the design for the same has been approved by CM Chandrababu Naidu.

The design was displayed on the CRDA website earlier for public voting and this one particular design received as many as 14,000 votes in approval. Subsequently, it was approved by CM Chandrababu as well.

Out of the four designs that were kept on display, the second option got the most votes and this was approved by CM Chandrababu a short while back. This is going to be the iconic cable bridge that connects Amaravati city with the roadway project from Vijayawada to Hyderabad.

This bridge would be connecting the N13 road in Amaravati with the NH13 between Vijayawada and Hyderabad.

This project has a valuation of ₹2500 crore and the government will be calling for tenders very soon. It will have a total passage way of 5.22 kilometres.

Once the bridge is up and running, it will cut down the travel time and distance from 40 kilometres(Mulapadu route) to just 5 kilometres and also bring down the commute time largely. This is going to be one of the iconic constructions under the new NDA government for the betterment of the Amaravati Prospect.
