Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s determined efforts to secure diversified investments across the state in various sectors are turning out to be fruitful one by one with several globally renowned behemoth companies coming forward to collaborate with the present government.

His ambitious goal to pitch Vishakapatnam as India’s next technology hub in innovation has been the talking point all over the country from the past few days as the big news about establishment of Data Centers by Google and TCS, Meta undersea cable project and Logistics Park.

Among all investments, the $ 10- billion data center by Google subsidiary Raiden Info Tech in Vizag is poised to be a game-changer not just for the state but also for the country because this will be the highest ever foreign direct investment in India.

The proposed data center will be established with an staggering investment of 87,000 Crores and is expected to create nearly 2 lakhs jobs besides contributing to the GDP of the state in the coming years.

The big deal will be agreed upon by Chandrababu Naidu and IT Minister Nara Lokesh during their upcoming trip to Delhi. Both the CM and IT Minister will land in Delhi on the coming Monday as part of their two day visit to the national capital. They are likely to call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discuss about the ongoing developmental projects and investments in different sectors and seek support from the central government.

As per reports, the Memorandum of Understanding between the state government delegation led by Chandrababu and Google subsidiary Raiden Info Tech Data Center will be inked on October 14th in the presence of India’s cabinet minister for IT Ashwini Vaishnaw.

As an hyper scale data center is likely to drive in further investments into ancillary sectors such as power, fibre optics, real estate and telecommunications across the country, the central government is also extending its hand to facilitate the state government in finalising this mega project.

So, this October 14th will be a historic day for Andhra Pradesh and this Delhi visit by both Chandrababu and Lokesh will assume a lot of significance unlike the earlier ones.
