Minister Nara Lokesh expressed serious displeasure over the behavior of several TDP MLAs who, he felt, have been neglecting their responsibilities towards public issues.

During the public interaction program held yesterday at Mangalagiri TDP Office, thousands of people turned up to present their grievances directly to Lokesh. He spent nearly four hours listening to their problems and was visibly upset with the state of affairs in the constituencies.

Lokesh questioned how so many people had to come all the way to the party office if MLAs were conducting proper grievance programs in their areas. He stated that from now on, MLAs must regularly hold Praja Darbars both in their constituencies and at the party’s Mangalagiri headquarters. He also instructed that ministers should personally attend grievance sessions at the central office to stay connected with people’s issues.

Visibly frustrated, Lokesh came down heavily on a few specific leaders. He reprimanded Kavali MLA Kavya Krishna Reddy for not visiting the family of a leader who had sacrificed his position for the party. He expressed anger that such negligence was unacceptable. Lokesh also questioned why BC leaders within the party were silent when YSRCP leaders made caste-based remarks.

Directing his frustration at RTC Chairman Konakalla Narayana, Lokesh asked why senior leaders were not taking charge of such issues. “Should everything be handled only by me and Chandrababu garu?” he reportedly asked, demanding more accountability and active participation from the party’s senior members.
