Dr. Narreddy Sunitha, daughter of the late Y. S. Vivekananda Reddy and sister of Ys Jagan, has finally received a major relief after years of legal struggle. Sunitha, who has been relentlessly fighting for justice in her father’s brutal 2019 murder case, faced several challenges along the way. Shockingly, during the YSRCP regime, police registered criminal cases against her and her husband despite being the victims in the case.

At that time, the Kadapa police filed cases against Sunitha and her husband, Rajasekhar Reddy. The officers involved were then-ASI Ramakrishna Reddy and ASP Rajeshwar Reddy. However, in a significant development, the Telangana High Court has now dismissed those false cases, providing Sunitha with much-needed relief.

Taking things a step further, the current NDA government has reportedly decided to take departmental action against the officers who registered those false cases. Even though both officers have already retired, the government is said to be initiating a departmental inquiry and halting their retirement benefits until the probe is completed. Moreover, there are plans to identify those who worked behind the scenes to influence the registration of those false cases.

Adding to their troubles, a person named Kullayappa from Lingala has filed a fresh complaint demanding strict action against the retired officers for their role in harassing Sunitha and her family. As a result, a new case is likely to be registered against them, turning the very officers who once filed the FIRs into accused themselves.

After years of struggle and pain, this marks a major moral and legal victory for Dr. Sunitha in the long fight for justice in the Viveka murder case.
